As Director of Advisor Recruiting, Justin McClendon is dedicated to attracting a new generation of advisors to the Pilot Financial network. Justin knows a thing or two about talent evaluation: He has more than a decade of experience coaching basketball, having worked alongside legends including Rusty LaRue at Wake Forest University and Jeff Capel at Virginia Commonwealth University.

Justin has considerable experience in the financial sector as well. After a stint as an insurance agent, he discovered his passion for finance and became a junior advisor at Prudential. He joined Lincoln Financial in 2019 as an internal wholesaler, completed the company's Wholesaler Institute program, and was later promoted to oversee all advisor recruitment for the Southeastern United States.

Justin, a resident of the Piedmont Triad area, earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, a master’s degree from Virginia Commonwealth University, and an MBA from Wake Forest University. In his free time, he enjoys playing golf!
