Earlier this year, Pilot Financial joined LPL Financial’s broker-dealer, RIA, and custodial platforms, marking a significant step in our journey to serve you better. This summer, we attended our first LPL Focus Conference, where we learned even more about LPL, gained valuable insights, explored groundbreaking tools, and made new connections. While there’s still so much to learn, we’re eager to share our takeaways to help you grow alongside us in this new chapter.

Three Useful LPL Tools and Resources

As we continue to explore what LPL has to offer, we’ve discovered some specific tools that we believe will be game-changers as you work with clients. We’ll update you with information and features as they become available.

  1. LPL Advisor Institute — This program is designed to help you attract the next generation of advisors to join your team. Whether hiring a junior advisor or training individuals new to the industry, the Advisor Institute provides the support needed to grow your practice. We know this is a top priority for many of you, so we’re eager to utilize this program.
  2. Practice Hub — This tool allows you to apply key metrics to your practice, track progress, and measure success as you grow.
  3. Practice Reporting — Located within the Practice Hub, LPL offers extensive reporting resources that provide insight into various aspects of your practice, from AUM to commissions and more. These reports will empower you to make informed decisions and streamline operations.

Exploring New Opportunities

One of the most impactful aspects of the conference was the recurring theme of expanding financial planning services. From diving deeper into comprehensive planning to exploring innovative tools for enhancing the client experience, we were inspired by the many opportunities ahead. We’re excited to apply what we have learned and further broaden the scope of the services you can offer your clients.

Reconnections and New Connections

Beyond the formal sessions, the conference provided a fantastic opportunity to reconnect with familiar faces and forge new relationships within the LPL community. The energy was contagious, and we came away with new ideas and a fresh network of like-minded professionals who are just as eager and excited as we are. These connections are vital as we navigate and continue to deepen our relationship with LPL. We’re looking forward to learning from each other!

LPL offers abundant resources, and while there’s a learning curve, we’re excited to be on this journey and share with you what we learn along the way.

Even though we’ve only been part of LPL for a few months, we’ve already come to appreciate their willingness to listen. When changes or improvements are needed, they take feedback seriously and implement solutions that enhance the technology and systems we use daily. It’s reassuring to know that we’re part of a network that values our input and is committed to evolving alongside us.
