We would like to welcome Jan Walker and her family to Pilot Financial. Jan has been working as a financial representative for 17 years. Her areas of expertise include Financial Planning, Retirement Income Planning, and Education Savings.
Born and raised in Greensboro, NC, Jan graduated from UNCW with a degree in Business Management. The part that Jan enjoys most about her job as a financial representative is helping others succeed financially. As she says, “I work shoulder to shoulder with clients and serve people in many different seasons of life. I am passionate about financial education and with many of my clients being women, I love to empower them to fully understand their goals and how to reach them.”
When it comes to hobbies, Jan has a passion for both cooking and hiking. When she is not working, she loves to use her creative energy in the kitchen to cook for friends and family, even winning a few amateur cooking contests. As well as being a part of a hiking group, she has enjoyed backpacking a few sections of the Appalachian trail.
Being as experienced as Jan is in the financial field, she has a lot of knowledge to offer. She says, “The best advice I can give to someone is to leave your preconceived notions and bias at the door. You never know where people are in their financial journey, and you will often be surprised.”
