Roger Seigler had a vision – to help make the job of financial service professionals just a little easier than it was for him. That vision became reality in 2001 when he and his partner, Al Capps, founded Pilot Financial Advisors specifically to help the independent advisor with support and business-building guidance.
Roger and Al have overseen the creation and expansion of Pilot Financial’s support for securities and financial advisory professionals over the last two decades. Beginning with a small number of housed advisors, the organization has grown to support advisors in more than 24 states.
Roger oversees company operations, but in keeping with Pilot’s flat organization chart, he also works directly with customers, offering his 36 years of knowledge in the areas of strategic planning, coaching, compliance and exploring new opportunities.
You could say Roger started his career in the field – literally – as part of Pilot Life Insurance Company’s yard maintenance crew in 1977. In 1980 he joined the Jefferson Standard Agency, quickly advancing to sales management in only two years. Roger learned the ins and outs of operating a firm as Agency Manager of Greensboro’s Jefferson-Pilot Agency.
Roger is a Chartered Life Underwriter and a Chartered Financial Consultant, and holds the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor designation, along with FINRA Series 24, 65, 7 and 63 licenses. He is a charter member of the Society of Financial Service Professionals, and has served as the Greensboro Chapter President.
Roger and his wife Mary reside in Greensboro, North Carolina.
